I was born in Rock Island, IL and raised in Newton, IA. I went to DMACC for Graphic Arts – a 1983 grad – and taught "Production Art" there for two years after college. Before Flynn Wright I was an Art Director for Associated Grocers, Nixon Ad Specialties, Plain Talk Publishing, The Graphic Corporation, Fultz Design, Equitable Life of Iowa and Norwest Mortgage. I always said, "If you learn it move on." I joined Flynn Wright in 1995 and continue to learn something new daily.

I've been happily married for 10 years to the greatest person I have ever met. I have a (step) SON that is 29 years old. When we first met, I told Sherri (my wife) whatever happens between the two of us, "I'm hanging with this guy." Jason (my son) and I have a great relationship. I am honored to have such a blessed life, a great job and a wonderful family. Never lose track of the important things in life.
