I was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska so I still have to claim my Husker heritage (though my black/gold roots are stronger!). I decided that an education at the University of Iowa would fulfill my interest to pursue a career in advertising (via a double major in Business and Communication studies as there is no advertising college). All throughout college I wanted to study abroad, but was so busy and occupied in many curricular activities that I didn't take the plunge until the end of my college career. I spent my last semester in Copenhagen, Denmark – which was an amazing experience. The people were wonderful, the culture so different, the sights, sounds and smells – so unlike what I was used to in the US. I had the pleasure of working with a Danish web company, Alt om Kobenhavn, doing general marketing and some field research. It was an incredible experience, if any of you have the opportunity to go to Scandinavia, just do it!
