Hi, I'm Mike. I'm a researcher at Flynn Wright. I'm married and have a 65 lb. German Shepherd/Retriever/Chow mix named Charlie. I drive a Subaru sports wagon and ride a pretty sweet steel lugged bicycle. Speaking of the sports wagon, I only listen to NPR when I'm in my car. I love the outdoors and spend as much of my time hiking and bicycling as possible. I don't eat nuts or husks, due to a bizarre gastrointestinal condition, so I'm also free of ever being categorized as a tree-hugging hippie. I wear a lot of sweater vests and wool. Sometimes I think I wear glasses for show, but if I go without, I get dizzy and fall down.

What I Like

  1. Bicycles (steel is real!)
  2. Tweed/Wool (it's a tie!)
  3. Public radio (preferably KUNI)
  4. Hiking
  5. Blogging

What I Don't

  1. Hot summer weather
  2. WOI's variation on public radio
  3. Warm milk
  4. Glo-Sticks
  5. Marathon reality TV programming

Did You Know?

I was always assigned non-speaking rolls in childhood plays (ie. a tree, or a mute raccoon, or a bear-skin rug) due to the fact that I can't memorize lines. This isn't so much a little known fact as much as a fact that no one would care to remember.
