SEM Specialist

We are looking for an SEM specialist to join our media team to drive online traffic and attract new customers. An ideal candidate must manage the paid search budget to maximize return on investment (ROI) and conduct research to identify keywords for advertisements.

You’re an individual who’s all about the data— having a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and SEM techniques with the ability to create new strategies to meet our clients needs. With excellent marketing skills, you will aid in increasing the reach of the target audience, as well as planning and executing programmatic display campaigns.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborate with other digital marketers, including SEO specialists, content marketers, and web developers to align campaign strategies and goals across the organization.
  • Define campaign budgets, align campaign goals, and ensure adherence to search optimization principles.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword and website research.
  • Create and manage search engine marketing campaigns.
  • Brainstorm ideas for marketing campaigns and paid advertising.
  • Build out media buys for various ad platforms and oversee the day-to-day execution of paid media.
  • Develop, execute, and optimize digital campaigns from conception to launch.
  • Meet with clients to determine their goals and budget.
  • Advise clients and stakeholders on costs, expectations, outcomes, and processes.
  • Identify and present new avenues of paid advertising.
  • Monitor and analyze web analytics and campaign performance.
  • Provide actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure a positive ROI on campaign spending.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in PPC management, data analysis, and digital marketing, with a strong command of advanced Excel techniques.
  • 2+ years of experience in PPC management, data analysis, and campaign optimization.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create complex reports and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other paid advertising platforms.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and other web analytics tools for tracking and reporting.
  • Experience with automated bidding strategies and tools such as Google Ads scripts, as well as third-party platforms.
  • Strong understanding of multi-touch attribution models and how to apply them in marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools for building reports and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager for tracking implementation, as well as expertise in setting up UTM parameters for comprehensive performance tracking.
  • Experience with competitor research and benchmarking to inform campaign strategies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex data insights.
