IT Support Analyst

We’re seeking an IT Support Analyst to provide technical assistance and support to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT functions. Qualified candidates must be able to work in an office setting, be available to support critical after-hours issues that arise, and have the ability to lift 40 pounds. Additionally, there may be potential travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities and Duties

This role is a full-time, in-office position located in Des Moines, Iowa. It is not eligible for remote or relocation.

  • Provide software and limited hardware support for client, server and network components.
  • Effectively track and handle user requests. Requests may come by phone, email, Teams or walk-up. User issues may be on-site or remote.
  • Ability to analyze situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools, and creative problem-solving abilities to find a solution to various problems (many new or previously undocumented).
  • Knowledge of and experience with Mac OS, MS Windows, MS Office 365 and Adobe Products, specifically Creative Cloud.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy modelling.
  • VM Ware Platform (v7/8)
  • Proficiency in network fundamentals (LAN, VPN, DNS, IP v4/6 networking, fiber/ethernet topologies), CISCO IOS.
  • Ability to set up a computer image for quick deployment of new equipment.
  • Manage equipment inventory, equipment maintenance, order supplies.
  • Support cybersecurity and compliance efforts, be able to educate and provide guidance to users.
  • Printer and print server troubleshooting, knowledge of different types of paper and how to manage them.
  • Must be comfortable working with providing general audio/video/print/web production support, assisting with security systems management including building access and cameras.

Qualifications

  • Education in information technology, MIS, computer science or related field or equivalent relevant work experience (2+ years).
  • Certifications are a plus but not required with relevant experience.
