A pledge to protect and serve.

Goal: In 2016, the Des Moines Police Department’s decision to equip each of its officers with advanced equipment and training required citywide buy-in to be successful. Along with asking for financial support, the DMPD wanted to voice its commitment to providing uncompromising safety, accountability and transparency for the community.

Strategy: Designed for impact and longevity, Flynn Wright created the Guardian Project, setting the framework for a years-long public partnership effort. The concept utilized striking photography of officers within the community and an authentic voice narrated by the chief of police. A series of events were scheduled and the initiative was promoted via a custom website, print collateral and an anthem video.
